I’m Paul Spataro. I’ve been doing headshots for over twenty years in one form or another and it is my passion. I started Astoria Headshots in January of 2020 before we knew about COVID-19 and were locked down for the pandemic. In April of last year, I opened my own dedicated space for Astoria Headshots at 84-01 87th Ave. in Long Island City.
It’s a cozy photography studio, but what comes out of it is really big!
Whether it’s headshot for acting, a professional corporate headshot, a LinkedIn headshot, social media headshot, a residency application photo or a professional headshot just in case, I have you covered.
I have worked in the entertainment industry for over 30 years as a hairdresser and makeup artist and am a member of IATSE Local 798!
I’ve worked on shows like Manifest, The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, The Deuce, Raising Kanan, and a host of others! Why is that important? Because when you’re on a TV or movie set as an HMU artist, you have to pay attention to details and, when I do your headshot, I will pay attention to the details.

They weren’t fun then and as an adult, the ‘one and done’ attitude just doesn’t work. I’ll spend time getting to know you, because at the end of the day, you don’t want your headshot to be your representative: You want it to be YOU! Confident, capable, engaging, open, and charismatic.
